Creating, renaming and deleting albums

Create an album

Click Add Album, give it a name and confirm. New albums start with a visible gallery and no password, so review Privacy & access in the album's settings before sharing it. Every album gets its own guest link and QR code.

Rename an album

Open the album, click Configure album and edit Album name under Details. You can also change the gallery label, heading and subtitle guests see. Renaming never changes your link or QR code, so printed cards keep working.

To rename the wedding itself, or change the date, go to Settings.

Delete an album

Click the small arrow next to the album name and choose Delete Album. An empty album is deleted straight away. If the album contains photos, you'll be asked to type a confirmation first. Deleting an album permanently deletes everything in it and cannot be undone, so download anything you want to keep first.

Why can't I delete this album?

To protect you from losing things by accident, deletion is blocked when:

  • It's your only album. A wedding must keep at least one. Create a new album first, then delete the old one.
  • Your printed QR cards link to it. Deleting it would stop the cards working.
  • A photobook order uses it.
  • An export is still running. Wait for the download to finish preparing.
  • Invitation emails are being sent for it. Try again once they've finished.
  • It received new uploads while you were deleting it. You'll be shown the updated count and asked to confirm again.

If you need an album removed and one of these applies, send us a message and we'll help.

Just want to hide an album?

You don't need to delete it. Untick Show on wedding guest page in its settings and simply don't share its link.
