Testing your album before the big day: a pre-wedding checklist
Run through this a week or so before your wedding. It takes about ten minutes.
The checklist
- Scan your actual printed QR code with a phone camera, not just the one on screen. Try an iPhone and an Android if you can.
- Upload a test photo and a short video as a guest. Check they appear in Guest uploads in your account. You can delete them afterwards.
- Check what guests can see. In Configure album, confirm the "Who can see the photos?" setting is what you want: visible to guests, reveal later (Disposable Camera) or only the couple.
- Check your guest limit. If you expect more uploaders than your plan allows, upgrade before the day. See How the guest limit works.
- Make sure you're sharing the guest link, not the address of your own admin pages. Use Share with guests → Copy link.
- Add a co-host (partner, parent, planner) so someone else can help on the day.
- Planning a slideshow? Switch on Slideshow in album settings and test it on the screen you'll use.
- Ask the venue about Wi-Fi. Guests can upload on mobile data, but large videos upload faster on Wi-Fi. Guests can also upload later from home.
Tips for more uploads
- Put a QR card on every table and one at the bar, the guest book and the photo booth.
- Ask your MC or DJ to mention it once during dinner.
- Send the link by email or group chat the day after. Many guests upload once they're home.
