Sending email invitations to your guests

Send guests a designed email with a button straight to your album. Open Share with guests → Share with email. The wizard has three steps: Import, Preview and Confirm.

1. Import your guests

  • Paste: one guest per line. Plain emails, Name <email> format and rows pasted from an address book all work.
  • CSV: upload a spreadsheet (use Download template). Supported headers are email (required), first_name and last_name. Up to 2,000 rows.
  • Manual: add guests one at a time.

If you see "Over your plan limit", you're importing more contacts than your plan's guest limit. Remove some, or click Upgrade plan.

2. Preview and personalise

Edit the subject, heading and message, and switch between desktop and mobile previews. You can personalise with these merge tags:

  • {{guestFirstName}}, {{coupleName}}, {{albumName}} and {{eventDate}}

If a guest has no first name, "Hi {{guestFirstName}}," neatly becomes "Hi,". Click Send test email to see it in your own inbox first.

3. Confirm and send

Send now, or choose Schedule for later. The morning after the wedding works well. Scheduled and draft batches can be cancelled before they go out.

Tracking

Each guest shows a status: sent, delivered, opened, clicked, or bounced, unsubscribed or failed.

  • Bounced means the address doesn't exist or rejected the email. Check for typos and add the corrected address as a new guest.
  • Guests who bounce, unsubscribe or mark the email as spam are automatically skipped in future sends.
  • "Opened" isn't perfect, because some email apps hide opens. A guest may well have seen it even if it says "delivered".

Tips

  • Invitation emails keep the link they were sent with, so changing your sharing settings later won't break them.
  • Ask guests to check junk folders, and follow up with your link in a group chat.
